How did you hear about us? *
Have you ever applied to the KML Apprenticeship Program?
I understand that the completion of an apprenticeship application does not constitute any agreement between the KML Carpenters Training Fund (KMLCTF) or the Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters; nor does it constitute employment or any offer of employment. The use of this application form does not indicate that there are any positions open and does not in any way obligate the KMLCTF.
I agree to comply with the terms and conditions of the Sponsors Standards of Apprenticeship, which cover practical training on the job (OJT), plus the necessary related instruction wherever and however it is made available to me. I understand that the failure to comply may result in termination from the apprenticeship and from membership in the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America.
I understand that should I be granted an interview, no representation that may be made at the interview are to be construed as creating any obligation, promise or contract on behalf of the KMLCTF.
I understand that I must provide COPIES of ALL mandatory supporting documents (e.g. valid photo government ID, transcripts, GED, W-2, etc.) at the time of my interview.
I understand that false or misleading information given in my application, resumes, interview or during the course of my apprenticeship may result in withdrawal of acceptance or discipline up to and including termination of apprenticeship, whenever the omission or falsehood is discovered.
I understand that I will be subject to an illegal substance screening before acceptance into the apprenticeship program. A positive screening will result in denial of acceptance into the apprenticeship program and I will be eligible to reapply in 1 year from infraction.
I understand that if I am accepted as an apprentice I will be subjected to a 1-year probationary period and that I will work for the established apprenticeship wage scale during the term of my apprenticeship.
Equal Employment Opportunity Pledge
KML Carpenters Apprenticeship and Training Fund will not discriminate against apprenticeship applicants or apprentices based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex (including pregnancy and gender identity), sexual orientation, genetic information or because they are an individual with a disability or a person 40 years old or older. KML Carpenters Apprenticeship and Training Fund will take affirmative action to provide equal opportunity in apprenticeship and will operate the apprenticeship program as required under Title 29 of the Code of Federal Regulations, part 30.
The information set forth in this application is true and correct to the best of my knowledge.
I will accept the decision of the Joint Apprenticeship Committee as final regarding my qualifications for this training.
If selected, the applicant will be required to take a drug test and pay for miscellaneous books and supplies. Random drug testing may be conducted any time during the apprenticeship.
